HOWTO: Troubleshoot 500 Internal Server Error
A 500 Internal Server Error message typically indicates a server-side problem.
Possible quick solutions to fix a 500 internal error:
- Restart browser after clearing cache and deleting the cookies (or open a private tab)
- Glance over public_html folder and subfolder directory permissions
- Look for a misconfiguration in .htaccess file
- Deactivate WordPress plugins (or just move them into a subfolder)
- LVE inodes reached max limit for user
The good news about a 500 error, is that it always indicates your browser is able to reach the server but the server was unable to serve the requested page
