Create (new) Admin User on a WordPress Website

It's really easy and only takes a second to create an admin user on your WordPress website.

Create new Admin user on WordPress website:

  1. Log into WordPress
  2. Click Users
  3. Click Add New
  4. Type in the username, email and password
  5. Select from Role dropdown box Administrator
  6. Save and click Add New user


  • Use a password manager like EnPass to store your login credentials and generate unique passwords for every website
  • After work is done, just delete the admin user
  • If you prefer to share your current admin credentials without creating a new user, consider sending the username and password in two separate emails.
